Goal Setting: Set goals

Prepare specific, measurable quantitative and qualitative goals for mutual agreement with your boss.  Goals should include specifically what you plan to accomplish including the time frames (the more specific the better)  Examples:

      • Increase sales credits by 5% over the same period last year with the increase coming in sale of new products
      • Develop website with input from all key constituencies (marketing, sales, product development, management, etc.)within 6 months
      • Hire 1 analyst and 1 associate before year end (with input from a minimum of 5 members of the team for each hire)
      • Rewrite client service tracking system, test and implement it within 9 months
      • Complete the marketing program that will entice school groups to attend programs at the museum (attract 1 group per month in the second half of the year)
