Goal Setting: Seek Regular Feedback

Seek regular feedback from your boss regarding progress (one month, quarter after setting the goals).

    • Schedule the meeting within the agreed upon timeframe for review
    • If the boss’s frequency seems too long (e.g. every other month), then send a monthly e-mail summarizing progress (no more than one side of a page)
    • Discuss specifically what you are doing well and what you need to improve
    • Discuss whether your goals continue to match your boss’s agenda
