Changes in the company can come in many different ways from a change in ownership, to a change in boss, and so on. You need to have your head up to evaluate these changes to see whether it could be good or bad for you.
Keep in mind the following:
- Examine the structure of the purchaser, and your company, to see where there is duplication and opportunity
- Assess whether a new boss is likely to cause you problems or present you with interesting possibilities
- Ask yourself how many and why former colleagues have left the company
- Determine if the product/service mix is changing and whether you have skills and abilities in the new direction
